Jodi
Aasen - Owner/Director/Instructor
Born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, Jodi began her training
and found her love of dance at the age of 4. She trained in
tap, jazz, ballet, musical theatre and lyrical at the Allan
Cozzubbo Academy of Dance as well as Dynamic Dance Studio. Jodi
began her teaching career at the age of 18 where she taught
at various community centres around Calgary and Cochrane. In
1997 she brought her love to dance and instruction to Cochrane
and established Eurhythmics Dance Studio, Inc. Since then, Jodi
has completed the Teacher's Certificate Program through the
Royal Academy of Dance (RAD). She is now a certified member
of the RAD as well as a certified instructor. She has also furthered
her studies in tap, jazz, lyrical, modern and hip hop by attending
various seminars around Canada as well as studying classes at
the EDGE in Los Angeles. |
Over
the years, Jodi's students have received numerous awards and
scholarships which also includes dancers that have gone on to
further their dance career and train professionally at the School
of the Alberta Ballet (Calgary), Joffrey Ballet School (New
York) and The Source Dance Company (Vancouver). On top of her
student's accomplishments, Jodi has received numerous awards
of recognition for her work as well as choreography awards.
Although Jodi takes pride in her accomplishments, her love remains
in the pride she gets as she watches the dancers of Eurhythmics
Dance Studio grow as individuals and performers - becoming the
best dancers they can be.

training here at Eurhythmics Dance Studio as well as
some have gone to various workshops and summer programs
including Triple Threat, Groove Street and the School

training in ballet and jazz while others have furthered
their training to also include lyrical, tap, musical
